Our longtime drummer, Charley Huwig, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in August of 2014. Arcanium has been on a hiatus in hopes that his battle would be quick in successfully putting the MS into remission. Unfortunately, Charley’s health has quickly deteriorated leaving himself, his wife, and his young son in financial difficulty. His wife is doing the best she can to bear the financial burden of the family home, but the added medical and medication bills are just too much to handle alone. There has been a FundRazr account set up for people who would like to donate to Huwig Family Fund in order to help them financially. If you click on the photo of Charley you will be directed to the FundRazr page where you can make your donation. If you are able to make a donation of any size, it would help out the Huwig family very much. On behalf of Charley, his wife Heather, and their son Leeland, we thank you for your generosity. – Arcanium

As some of you may or may not already know, a few weeks back our t-shirt cannon malfunctioned and exploded in to pieces at our rehearsal space, severely injuring and hospitalizing two bystanders. One of these bystanders was our long time friend and guitar tech Dustin “Dead Dreamz” Hamilton. The other was our tour manager and long time friend Damien Boyd. These two dudes have made HUGE sacrifices for our band, never demanding anything in return. Unfortunately these sacrifices have also led to less than optimal healthcare and financial circumstances. Hospital bills are stacking up and are already above 3k. If you have it in your heart to help, we have started an online fundraiser and are accepting donations to help our metal brothers recover from this tragedy. Even though the events that led up to the explosion remain a mystery, Arcanium vows to NEVER AGAIN utilize a t-shirt cannon in any of its’ events or functions, for the safety of our fans and affiliates. We are extremely grateful and feel very lucky that these two are still alive. Very serious stuff. We wish Dustin and Damien a fast road to recovery, and thank you in advance for any size of donation that you can make. Donations can be made here:
ARCANIUM ANNOUNCES DEBUT VIDEO RELEASE FOR SEVERED MOMENT
DENVER, CO – July 17, 2013 – Arcanium has announced the release of their debut video for “Severed Moment,” which comes off the band’s long anticipated sophomore album Ontogenesis, released June 18ᵗʰ via RSV. Alongside visionary director Roy Warner, who set the video in an archaic sugar mill in Loveland, CO, Arcanium has unleashed a musical assault that you will not soon forget. Asked about the meaning of “Severed Moment,” lead vocalist J-Sinn commented: “the song is about loss and getting back to a centered, more productive self. I liked working with Roy because he has a bit of a different perspective, which is something we strive for in our music. For example, we leave some things a bit vague lyrically so that it is open for personal interpretation. It’s always pretty cool to hear how our fans have related Arcanium’s lyrics to their own lives.” Regarding the video’s concept and production, he remarked that “the character in this video has obviously lost something that is troubling him, but he takes a different ‘way out’ then I would have imagined. We also chose a very run down room in the factory to record all the performance footage of the band which lent to the video’s grittiness.” Adam, Arcanium’s lead guitarist further commented, “all in all it was fun to work with Roy and he did quite an amazing job for us.” The video for “Severed Moment” will premiere online Wednesday, July 17th, 2013.

ARCANIUM ANNOUNCES NEW BASSIST
DENVER, CO – May 1st, 2013 – One of Denver’s most successful metal bands, Arcanium, is proud to announce the joining of new bassist Ryan Dehart. Since the birth of Arcanium in the year 2007, they have overcome many challenges that stood in their way. After being thrown into the national music scene with such notable bands as Megadeth, Machine Head, Suicide Silence, Bullet for my Valentine, Otep, Ill Nino, Butcher Babies, and One Eyed Doll, the band has made a few changes along the way. Ryan Dehart joins the Arcanium family early in 2013 to embark on the nation and worldwide touring that stands ahead of them. “It feels great to have a solid lineup that we can depend on, and to bring another person into the writing process for the record we are working on now, which should be released sometime in 2014.” Says J-Sinn, Arcanium’s lead vocalist. Dehart, an accomplished tattoo artist and owner of Bombshell Bodyworks in Greeley, CO exclaims “I can’t wait to see what the future holds, I’ve known a couple of these guys for years and it’s pretty bad ass to join them and represent what they have worked so hard for. I am excited to begin the writing process with them as well and to be a part of the band on a permanent basis.” The band’s sophomore record Ontogenesis is set for release in stores and digitally on June 18th 2013 and Arcanium will appear live on July 20th 2013 at the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, CO. As they eagerly await the arrival of their newest record, Arcanium states that they will be touring through the rest of 2013 as much as possible.
